About Us
Brentwood Pediatrics is a small, relationship-based practice dedicated to caring for children from newborns to young adults in a warm, personal, and attentive environment. Our philosophy is simple: families deserve time, thoughtful communication, and pediatric care that feels both professional and deeply personal. We believe parents should always feel heard, supported, and confident in the care their children receive.
Our practice is intentionally small so we can truly get to know the families we serve. We value continuity, partnership, and trust, following children as they grow and supporting parents through every stage of childhood and adolescence. Same day appointments are always available.
Waiting and Exam Rooms
The Office was designed with today’s patients’ needs in mind. We have two separate waiting rooms: one for well children and one for sick children. After all who wants to get sick from a visit to the doctor’s office? Please be considerate of others and use the appropriate waiting room. For example, if you are scheduled for a check-up, but your child has a cold, please use the sick waiting room. To that end, we have separated exam rooms. Two rooms are dedicated specifically for sick children and two dedicated strictly for well children. We have further designed one of these exam rooms to emulate a nursery. It has a glider to help soothe or feed a baby after a check-up or vaccination.
Insurance
When establishing Brentwood Pediatrics, Dr. Sonya was committed to building a practice that allows for a relaxed and un-hurried visit with the Doctor. In doing so, allowing each patient to have every question answered. As such, Brentwood Pediatrics is an out of network medical practice. Payment is due in full at end of each visit. We will provide you all of the necessary paperwork for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
After-Hours & Weekend Medical Care
If you need medical assistance after hours or on weekends, we always have a doctor on call to help you and your child. Please call our office at (310) 207-8200, and you will be connected to an operator. The on-call doctor will be notified and will return your call within one hour. If you do not hear back from a physician within one hour, please call again.
After-hours service begins at 5:30 PM on weeknights and continues until the following weekday morning.
Weekend call coverage begins at 5:30 PM on Friday and continues through Monday morning.
For emergencies: If your child is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or go directly to the nearest emergency room.
